CFR Engineering, a Germantown, Md.-based small business, has received a potential six-year, $400M contract to provide architect/engineering support for facilities owned or leased by the National Institutes of Health.
The Department of Health and Human Services component said in an award notice posted Monday on the beta SAM website that CFR will support NIH’s Office of Research Facilities in technical areas such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, civil and structural engineering, civil engineering and fire protection.
Contract work will cover construction, repair, alteration, modification or renovation of various facilities and infrastructure projects, the notice states.
Specific NIH facilities covered by the award include laboratories, animal research facilities, healthcare facilities, bioresearch labs, data centers and central utility plants.
NIH will obligate a minimum guarantee of $1K and a maximum order obligation of $30M for orders under the contract.
CFR is slated to perform work under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award in Maryland, North Carolina and Montana.
