Cerner to Continue VA EHR System Deployment Under $134M Task Order

Cerner (Nasdaq: CERN) has received an 18-month, $134.1 million task order to deploy the company’s electronic health record platform at additional Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, FedHealth IT reported Thursday.

VA initially obligated $113 million for EHR Modernization Wave G deployment work.

The health technology provider secured a 10-year, $10 billion contract in May 2018 to help VA deploy commercial technology similar to the EHR platform the Department of Defense has adopted.

Cerner works with Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) as part of a partnership that won a separate 10-year, $4.3 billion contract from DOD in May 2015 to support the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization program.
