Sarah London, vice chairman of the board of directors at Centene (NYSE: CNC), has accepted additional responsibilities as CEO of the St. Louis-based health insurer.
She took over the chief executive duties from Michael Neidorf, who has been on medical leave since February, the company said Tuesday.
In Neidorf’s absence, London has been working as a member of the Office of the Chairman to manage Centene’s daily operations of delivering government-sponsored health care programs to uninsured and under-insured individuals in the U.S.
London joined the company in 2020 as senior vice president of technology innovation and modernization and previously worked for UnitedHealth Group‘s venture capital arm, Optum Analytics, Humedica and Health Leads.
