CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has won a potential five-year, $514 million task order to modernize outside plant infrastructure and facilities that support data communication networks at 40 U.S. Army installations nationwide.
The single-award task order covers the development and installation of an underground fiber optic cable platform intended to facilitate voice, data and video distribution through command and control systems, CACI said Tuesday.
The award has a one-year base period of performance, plus four option years, and was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 contract vehicle.
John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI and a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, said the company will update the service branch’s data communications infrastructure using modern networking standards, software, analytics and security tools.
