CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has received a five-year, $199 million task order to update, run and maintain a web-based supply chain management system for the U.S. Agriculture Department.
The WBSCM online platform is designed to help the department order, procure, distribute and track food products for the National School Lunch Program, the Emergency Food Assistance Program and the UN World Food Program, CACI said Tuesday.
“We look forward to supporting the USDA and enhancing its ability to provide food and nutrition programs both domestically and abroad, ” said CACI President and CEO Ken Asbury , an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2016.
Asbury added the order represents new work for the company’s logistics and material readiness and business systems units.
The order was awarded through the General Services Administration‘s Alliant contract vehicle.
