ByteCubed Buys Creative Agency CHIEF in Gov’t IT Services Expansion Push; Lena Trudeau Quoted

Arlington, Va.-based technology firm ByteCubed has purchased Washington, D.C.-based creative agency CHIEF for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its information technology offerings to government and commercial clients.

Lena Trudeau, newly appointed ByteCubed CEO, said in a statement published Tuesday the company will combine its technology with CHIEF™s creative team to help customers address critical challenges.

CHIEF is a woman- and minority-owned small business that provides services in marketing, branding, media, digital user experience, technology and design areas and holds spots on several contract vehicles, including the General Services Administration™s IT Schedule 70 and the National Institutes of Health™s Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 contract.

Established in 2010, ByteCubed provides consulting support to federal and commercial clients in the areas of science and engineering, acquisition innovation and decision support.

Enlightenment Capital made an investment in ByteCubed in February to back the latter™s strategic growth in technology automation, business intelligence and data science fields.

Chevy Chase, Md.-based Enlightenment Capital backs defense and government technology companies.
