Brillient has received a task order from the Internal Revenue Service to develop a semantic database technology intended to help IRS researchers visualize trends and patterns in taxpayer compliance.
The company said Tuesday it will help the agency's research, applied analytics and statistics office to build a graph prototype, perform data modeling and implement the technology for assessment by end-users.
The task order falls under the Data Analytics and Innovation Support contract and also calls for Brillient to explore the potential application of the graph database in tax administration programs.
Paul Strasser, CEO of Brillient, said the company plans to apply the latest technology to support IRS' digital transformation efforts.
