Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured a potential three-year, $276.6 million contract from the U.S. Army to support the engineering and manufacturing development phase of the CH-47F Chinook Block II program.
The Army received one bid for the cost-plus-incentive-fee contract through an online solicitation and obligated $27.3 million in fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
Boeing will perform work in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, through July 27, 2020.
The Chinook Block II program will cover a series of upgrades intended to increase the payload and provide commonality across the helicopter fleet as well as to establish a foundation for future system upgrades.
