Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a potential $1.17 billion contract from the U.S. Navy to support the development of a baseline configuration needed to produce and deliver 22 F/A-18E and six F/A-18F aircraft for Kuwait.
The company will also provide long-lead radar warning receivers and aircraft weaponry equipment under the foreign military sales contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
Work will occur at various locations in Missouri, California, Texas, Minnesota, Arizona, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Oklahoma through September 2022.
The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and the service branch will obligate $275.9 million in FMS funds at the time of award.
