Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a potential $240.2 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to support the first phase of the Saudi Arabian air force’s airborne warning and control system modernization program.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday Boeing will modernize AWACS communications, mission computing and navigation systems as well as update identification, friend or foe technology designs under the foreign military sales contract.
Work will occur at a company facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, through Feb. 28, 2019.
The Saudi Arabian government obligated the full contract amount from its letter of offer and acceptance case funds at the time of award.
