Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $2.46B contract modification to manufacture and deliver 19 lot 10 P-8A maritime patrol aircraft units to the U.S. Navy as well as Norway and the U.K. under the foreign military sales program.
The company will also implement a 4 SilverBlock engineering change proposal for the British government and conduct segregable efforts as part of the modification, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Fifty-one percent of contract purchases are for the Navy, 28 percent for Norway and the remaining 21 percent are for the U.K.
Work is scheduled to conclude by March 2022 and will occur at various locations within and outside the continental U.S. The contracting activity is Naval Air Systems Command.
