Boecore, a portfolio company of private investment firm Enlightenment Capital, has acquired commercial off-the-shelf software products provider Orbit Logic to build up its mission operations and software development capabilities and deliver new product offerings to its customers across the space, hypersonics, missile defense and strategic deterrent sectors.
Greenbelt, Maryland-based Orbit Logic was founded in 2000 and provides software products for space situational awareness, mission planning and scheduling for government and commercial clients in the geospatial intelligence and aerospace sectors, the companies said in a joint release published Monday.
Tom Dickson, president of Boecore, said the Orbit Logic team has demonstrated its ability to bring advanced software platforms to its space customers and Boecore is excited to welcome Orbit Logic employees to continue advancing innovative efforts.
“This partnership with Orbit Logic helps Boecore expand our product and technical capabilities, and it broadens our relationships and mission expertise within the space domain,” noted Dickson.
G Squared was Orbit Logic’s exclusive financial adviser in the transaction.
Boecore is a Colorado Springs, Colorado-based company that provides DevSecOps, system integration, Agile software development, network engineering and cyber capabilities to national security clients. The company was acquiredby Enlightenment Capital in January 2022.
