A Bechtel subsidiary has secured a potential $140M contract modification to supply nuclear propulsion parts to the U.S. Navy.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee award has a base value of $121.7M and will reach its full value if all options are exercised, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Naval Sea Systems Command will initially obligate the full base amount of the contract from the Navy’s fiscal 2020 other procurement and shipbuilding and conversion funds.
Ninety-three percent of work will take place in Monroeville, Pa., and the remaining 7 percent will occur in Schenectady, N.Y.
