BAE Systems‘ information and electronic systems business has secured a $74.9M contract from the U.S. Navy to provide 1,440 radio frequency countermeasure systems for domestic and international defense customers.
The company will also maintain and repair multifunction test stations that support the F-35 program as part of the firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Nearly $2.4M of the full obligated amount is set to expire in the current fiscal year. Work is expected to conclude by March 2022.
The U.S. Air Force accounts for 49 percent of orders under the contract, while the U.S. Marine Corps and the Navy collectively account for 18 percent of contract purchases. The remaining 33 percent are for foreign military sales clients.
