BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business has secured a $120.5 million contract modification from the U.S. Army for the production of M88A2 Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lift and Evacuation System vehicles.
The Army obligated $7 million at the time of award from its fiscal 2018 “other” procurement funds, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
Work under the modification will take place in York, Pa., through Jan. 31, 2021.
The 70-ton HERCULES recovery system is equipped with updated steering, braking, electrical and engine technologies.
