BAE Systems has secured a potential $266.9M contract modification to provide an additional 159 modernized infantry fighting vehicles for the U.S. Army.
The branch exercised option two of the Bradley A4 production contract and obligated the full value of the modification using weapons and tracked combat vehicle procurement funds, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The company initially won a $347.9M contract two years ago for the production of 473 Bradley M2A4 and M7A4 fighting vehicles.
Work under the exercised option runs through March 31, 2023.
The Bradley A4 configuration is designed to have full ballistic control, fire suppression, on-board diagnostics and improvised explosive device jamming systems.
