The U.S. Navy has awarded BAE Systems, Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) and General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) NASSCO subsidiary a one-year, $275.1M contract modification to continue maintaining surface combatant ships homeported in San Diego.
The service branch exercised the fourth option period under a previously issued indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for emergent, complex and continuous maintenance services in support of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work under the modification is scheduled to conclude by March 2021.
