Federal IT systems integrator B&A has acquired Celestar as part of efforts to expand its intelligence capabilities and strengthen its presence in the national security market.
What Intelligence Capabilities Does Celestar Add to B&A?
B&A said Tuesday the transaction adds multi-intelligence disciplines to its existing offerings, including human intelligence, imagery intelligence, signals intelligence, measurement and SIGINT, and open-source intelligence, enabling the company to pursue larger opportunities at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and combatant commands.
“Combining our strengths with Celestar’s All Source Intelligence expertise is a transformative step for B&A,” said Jonathan Evans, president and CEO of B&A. “This acquisition is a growth multiplier, not only in capability but in customer reach. It immediately positions us as a full-spectrum intelligence provider, bringing us closer to the warfighter and opening up new, high-value contracts. This strategic alignment ensures we can deliver the end-to-end solutions our government partners need to meet the most complex national security challenges.”
What Does Celestar Specialize In?
Celestar specializes in providing intelligence and analytic support to U.S. government customers, including agencies within the Department of War, the U.S. intelligence community and the State Department.
Established in 2004, the company provides strategic, analytic, professional and training solutions across three core areas: intelligence analysis and enabling services; training and professional services; and data enterprise support.
Celestar CEO Gregory Celestan expressed excitement about joining B&A, noting that the move will help accelerate growth in the company’s intelligence and national security business and enable it to pursue a broader customer base across additional markets.
“B&A’s dedicated focus on mission-first service delivery and their commitment to retaining our leadership team ensures a seamless transition. Our employees will benefit from B&A’s Centers of Excellence and service delivery approach, while gaining the scale and resources necessary to deliver even greater impact across the defense intelligence enterprise,” Celestan noted.
