AWS Supports Smartsheet’s FedRAMP Compliance Journey; Dave Levy Quoted

Cloud-based work management system provider Smartsheet has leveraged Amazon Web Services™ GovCloud (US) platform and resources offered through the Authority to Operate on AWS program to accelerate the process of securing a provisional ATO under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for its Smartsheet Gov offering.

œBy building on AWS GovCloud, Smartsheet and their government customers may host sensitive data and regulated workloads, while meeting stringent US government security and compliance requirements, Dave Levy, vice president of U.S. federal government at AWS and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said in a statement published Thursday.

Built on AWS GovCloud, Smartsheet Gov is designed to help federal agencies simplify workflows, organize processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Smartsheet worked with Amazon Partner Network consulting partners Coalfire and Kratos. Kratos assisted Smartsheet in the security documentation process, while Coalfire served as the FedRAMP third-party assessment organization in the authorization process.
