Cleophus Thomas, a retired U.S. Army colonel, has joined Ernst & Young as a senior manager for the defense and national security segment of the company’s government and public sector advisory practice.
His more than 24-year military career includes leadership assignments within cyber defense and information technology organizations at the Defense Department and the White House, EY said Tuesday.

Thomas previously worked at the Joint Force Headquarters“DoD Information Network as J3/chief operations officer and provided operational support to former President Barack Obama as commander of the White House Communications Agency.
He commanded the 516th Signal Brigade and helped establish the Army’s operational cyber network that encompassed more than 9,000 miles and 16 time zones.
