The U.S. Army is seeking additional vendors capable of providing high performance computing in support of research, development, test and evaluation efforts of Department of Defense organizations.
In a SAM.gov notice for combined synopsis/solicitation, the Army Engineering Research and Development Center said it seeks to on-ramp qualified firms onto current technical insertion basic ordering agreement awards under the High Performance Computing Modernization Program.
The initiative is aimed at equipping five DOD Supercomputing Resource Centers with HPC systems needed for their mission and the BOA on-ramp announcement will provide for the insertion of new technology.
The requirement covers supercomputing hardware procurement valued at approximately $2.8 million per year as well as administration and maintenance support worth $68.8 million annually over five one-year ordering periods.
Proposals from interested parties are due Oct. 17.
The existing HPCMP BOAs were made in October 2021 and will be completed in 2026. The current BOA suite’s capacity is $369.8 million.
