Army Seeks Proposals for $1.5B Remote Weapon Systems Procurement IDIQ

The U.S. Army has issued a solicitation for a potential five-year, $1.49 billion contract to procure remote weapon systems mounted on mobile and stationary platforms.

The RWS program will enable to service to continue to acquire spare parts, engineering, sustainment and product integration support to meet existing and future requirements of the Common Remotely Operated Weapons Station and other RWS variants, including Navy Mk-50, Abrams CROWS-Low Profile and U.S. Marine Corps Amphibious Remote Weapon Station, according to the request for proposals posted Tuesday.

The single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract also covers line replaceable units, kit spares, field service technician support, depot labor, shop replaceable units and logistics services.

Army Contracting Command-New Jersey will launch a full and open competition for the RWS IDIQ contract.

Proposals are due Nov. 22.
