AirBoss of America‘s defense subsidiary has closed its acquisition of BlackBox Biometrics, a provider of wearable sensors designed to detect explosive blasts, through a potential $27 million deal that includes $7 million in upfront cash payment.
AirBoss Defense Group, which first announced the transaction in March, will pay the remaining $20 million over an eight-year period through future royalties as part of the agreement, the company said Monday.
ADG and B3 will integrate into a new division that will be led by Matt Boccia, president and CEO of B3, and will focus on developing integrated systems meant to protect military customers who perform high-threat missions.
