Leidos Wins $334M IDIQ to Help Air Force Develop Air-Breathing Hypersonic System

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a $334 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support the development of a larger class air-breathing hypersonic system that will employ a standardized payload interface to carry out multiple missions.
Calspan, Draper and Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) will serve on the prime contractor’s design team to coordinate with the government, private and education sectors for R&D and prototyping work.
AFRL issued a $24 million initial order that covers the system requirements and conceptual design assessment phases with a digital engineering framework.
Leidos will also be responsible for model-based systems engineering and programming efforts under the 51-month project.
