The U.S. Air Force has released a solicitation notice for a potential $950 million multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for technology prototyping, production, sustaining engineering and studies and analysis support to the range systems branch within the AF Life Cycle Management Center’s aerospace dominance enabler division.
The Range IDIQ Support Effort, also known as RISE, is seeking contractors to help the military service build range threat systems for training use, USAF said Wednesday in a request for proposals with a March 15 deadline.
Potential contractors will conduct prototype modeling and simulation, acceptance tests and additional technology demonstration activities.
Work also covers testing efforts for various components, networks, platforms and subsystems to validate compliance with specifications and performance.
The branch is interested in working with vendors that possess capabilities in modeling, simulation, redesign, modification, prototype fabrication, hardware and software design, installation, manufacturing and integration.
