Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured $7.13 billion in additional funds to continue to help sustain the U.S. Air Force‘s fleet of C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft under a contract modification.
The Defense Departmentsaid Monday the modification raises the ceiling value of a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract following an increase in C-17 fleet and operating bases.
Boeing will perform work in various locations worldwide through Sept. 30, 2021.
The C-17 airlifter is designed to transport large equipment, supplies and troops in support of global operations.
