Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has been awarded a position on a potential $500 million contract to provide architect-engineering environmental services for the U.S. Air Force.
The company is one of the latest awardees that will compete for environmental compliance and restoration, military family housing, base realignment and closures, and maintenance work at government sites worldwide, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
The Air Force Installation Contracting Agency awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive acquisition with 12 bids received and will obligate $3, 000 from fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Leidos will perform contract work through March 9, 2023, according to DoD.
Seven firms won spots on the IDIQ contract this month after the service branch initially picked five companies in November 2015 and addedBlack & Veatch Special Projects Corp. to three more companies that secured spots on the contract in December 2015.
