Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has secured an $80.3 million sole-source contract to develop and demonstrate a communication system using military platforms and commercial space internet services.
An award notice posted on SAM.gov says the DEUCSI effort covers “the design, development, implementation, test and delivery of three prototype radio terminal configurations.”
The Air Force Research Laboratory acts the contracting activity on the project and is obligating $31 million at the time of award from the branch’s research, development, test, and evaluation funds for fiscal year 2022 and fiscal 2023.
