A subsidiary ofAccenture (NYSE: ACN) has received a potential five-year, $81.3 million contract from the Health Resources and Services Administration to operate and maintain HRSA’s electronic handbooks system.
Accenture Federal Services will work with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), DMI and Avanade as well as use Microsoft-built platforms in efforts to help streamline HRSA grants management processes, Accenture said Monday.
The contract also covers program, application and infrastructure management, system and acceptance testing, reporting and dashboarding, data analysis, and system evolution and growth services.
Mary Edwards, civilian health lead for Accenture Federal Services, said the company will work to address the current needs of HRSA™s EHBs and provide flexibility for future technology development.
Accenture noted the contract contains a one-year base value of $15.5 million.
HRSA implemented EHBs to provide a single-point of access for grant customers and agency employees to manage the life cycle of grants.
