Information technology and scientific services provider A-TEK has acquired Reston, Va.-based Mackson Consulting in an effort to broaden its footprint in the federal health IT market.
This acquisition meets a key 2019 strategic goal for A-TEK and will be instrumental in bolstering our presence in the federal government market, A-TEK CEO Kathryn Freeland said in a statement released Tuesday.
Mackson is a women-owned small business founded in 2010 and provides professional and technical services in IT systems engineering to public sector and commercial clients. It supports the National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration and other agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services.
A-TEK will operate Mackson as a wholly owned subsidiary and Freeland will continue to serve as CEO of the combined firm.
McLean, Va.-based A-TEK is a woman-owned small business and has been delivering enterprise IT and scientific support to U.S. federal civilian and national security agencies for over two decades.
