92 Vendors Win Spots on $900M Air Force Multidomain Tech Development Contract

The U.S. Air Force has awarded 92 companies positions on a potential 10-year, $900 million contract to come up with innovative approaches to advance the development of multidomain systems.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is the contracting activity and received 94 proposals for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Among the awardees are Accenture’s (NYSE: ACN) federal arm; Alion Science and Technology, which is now part of HII (NYSE: HII); American Systems; Boeing (NYSE: BA); Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH); CAE (NYSE: CAE); Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL); and KPMG.

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS); Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT); Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR); Parsons (NYSE: PSN); Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX); Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC); and Vertex, which is now V2X (NYSE: VVX), also secured spots on the IDIQ contract.

The vendors will also characterize new systems and technologies through studies and demonstrations, perform rapid prototyping and provide test and capability transition support under the IDIQ contract.

The service will obligate $1,000 in fiscal 2022 operations and maintenance funds to each contractor and expects work to conclude in December 2032.
