5 Firms Land $343M in Task Orders for Navy PC Simulation Support

The U.S. Navy has awarded five companies task orders worth up to $342.7 million combined over six years to provide personal computer simulation, development and re-engineering support services for the Naval Education Training Command™s Naval Training Products and Services program.

The firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, multiple-award task orders have a base period of three years worth approximately $166.3 million combined, the Defense Department said Monday.

Awardees are also eligible for additional orders over up to three option years.

Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC)

The Naval Supply Systems Command awarded the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts through a competitive procurement process with nine proposals received and will obligate $5, 000 on each contract from the service branch™s operation and maintenance funds for fiscal 2016.

The contractors will perform work at their facilities through May 2022 if all options are exercised, according to DoD.

Contract requirements include the development of interactive training applications that use simulation platforms on PCs, program management and personnel support for the service branch™s training programs, according to a notice posted on FedBizOpps.
