The U.S. Air Force has awarded positions on a $400 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to four companies to support restoration, modernization and sustainment efforts at various military ground testing facilities.
The Defense Departmentsaid MondayCB&I Federal Services, Black & Veatch Construction, Turner Construction and Healtheon will vie for task orders to provide mechanical, electrical and controls for test facilities construction as well as design-build projects.
DoD noted the service branch received 13 offers for the competitive acquisition program.
The Air Force Test Center will obligate a total of $2.9 million to contractors at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Work will occur at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex in Tennessee and its associated units in Maryland and California through Aug. 7, 2021.
