The Department of Veterans Affairs has selected four companies to offer telehealth services along with ancillary supplies under a multiple-award contract valued at $1.032 billion over eight years, according to an award notice posted Monday on SAM.gov.
Cognosante, DrKumo, Medtronic Care Management Services and Valor Healthcare will compete for work to help the VA Office of Connected Care deploy systems designed to monitor patients’ chronic health conditions from their homes.
The office requires remote patient monitoring tools and services to support 72,000 patients with chronic and non-institutional care needs.
Vendors will also provide prosthetic appliances for care coordination and disease management through the contract, which has two base years and six option years.
