Lockheed to Supply Arleigh Burke-Class Ship Machinery Control Equipment Under $194M Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a potential $194.3 million contract to provide consoles and cabinets for the machinery control system of the U.S. Navy‘s Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers.

DDG 51 MCS is designed to monitor and manage the ship™s auxiliary, damage control, electrical and propulsion systems, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

The firm-fixed-price contract has a base value of $11.8 million and will reach its full cumulative value if all options are exercised.

Lockheed will perform work in support of the DDG 51 New Construction Ship and DDG 51 Midlife Modernization programs.

Ninety percent of work will occur in Orlando, Fla., and the remaining 10 percent in Baltimore, Md.

The Naval Sea Systems Command received one offer for the contract via a competitive procurement process on FedBizOpps.
