What Did CACI’s CEO Say About the NSWC Crane Award?

CACI President and CEO John Mengucci, a seven-time Wash100 Award winner, said the work will accelerate the development of spectrum technologies and AI-enabled decision tools for operators facing increasingly complex threats.

“Electromagnetic superiority is central to how our nation deters conflict and protects its forces, and this work directly strengthens that advantage in the real world,” he noted.

What Did CACI Report for the First Quarter?

The Crane task order was among CACI’s first-quarter fiscal 2027 bookings, which totaled $4.8 billion with about 61 percent from new business. The company reported revenue of $2.5 billion for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 8.2 percent year over year, with Department of War revenue climbing 14.8 percent to $1.35 billion.

CACI has been building the business through awards and acquisitions. The Army awarded the company a five-year task order worth up to $250 million in January to support spectrum dominance work for its intelligence, electronic warfare, and sensors program office, following a potential three-year, $79 million task order in December 2025 to detect and counter electronic warfare threats. CACI acquired Azure Summit Technology in October 2024 to expand its radio frequency and electronic warfare capabilities.

The company opened a 61,000-square-foot defense electronics manufacturing center in the Greater Rochester, New York, area during the first quarter, expanding manufacturing space by more than 300 percent to support production for the Army’s Terrestrial Layer System Brigade Combat Team Manpack program.
