- Greg Ennis will oversee financial management for HII Mission Technologies
- His responsibilities include accounting, budgets and program cost control
- Ennis joined HII through its 2019 acquisition of Fulcrum IT
HII has promoted Greg Ennis to senior vice president and chief financial officer of its mission technologies division.
In this elevated role, Ennis will oversee the division’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, program cost control, financial reporting, and financial planning and analysis, the company said Friday.
The appointment follows Ashutosh Gokhale’s move to Modern Technology Solutions Inc. in June after serving as HII Mission Technologies’ CFO.
Who Is Greg Ennis?
Ennis is a financial management executive with more than 25 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance and government contracting. Before taking on his new position, he served as the division’s vice president and controller for more than six years.
He joined HII in 2019 through its acquisition of Fulcrum IT, where he was corporate controller and group business manager. Earlier in his career, Ennis was a principal at Tatum and a business administration manager at Telephonics. He also spent five years at Concurrent Technologies Corp. as a senior business manager, following finance roles at Mangrove Software and Walt Disney World.
What Did HII Leadership Say About the Promotion?
Andy Green, president of HII Mission Technologies and an eight-time Wash100 Award winner, credited Ennis with helping strengthen the business’s financial performance and maintain disciplined growth. He said Ennis’ strategic perspective, knowledge of the company and government contracting experience make him well-positioned to guide the division’s growth and deliver value to its customers, employees and shareholders.
What Other Leadership Changes Has Mission Technologies Made?
The appointment comes amid a series of leadership changes at the HII division. In July, it appointed Michael DeBernardis as vice president and chief counsel. DeBernardis took responsibility for the division’s legal services and strategic counsel as HII continued to expand its portfolio.
Earlier in July, HII named retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Frederick “Fritz” Roegge vice president of operations for its nuclear and environmental team. Roegge oversees HII Nuclear, including operations involving Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Administration facilities.
