- Serco will support 10 core DPAE M&S mission functions
- The company will provide program management, technical engineering and integrated logistics support
- Work will be performed at key U.S. naval hubs
Serco has won a $199 million U.S. Navy contract to provide professional services supporting the Deputy Portfolio Acquisition Executive Maritime for Modernization & Sustainment, or DPAE M&S.
What Does the DPAE M&S Contract Cover?
The contract prioritizes 10 core mission functions requiring program and project management, technical engineering and integrated logistics support, Serco said Tuesday, noting that the services will involve keeping onboard technologies up to date to maintain the ships’ mission relevance throughout their service lives.
The scope also calls for dedicated support and additional allowances for work at remote locations as the Navy addresses current fleet requirements. Work will take place primarily at key U.S. naval hubs in the continental U.S. and overseas.
The award comes shortly after Barbara Supplee was named CEO of Serco North America in September. Supplee, a 2026 Wash100 Award winner, said the award extends Serco’s work with the Naval Sea Systems Command, or NAVSEA, and draws on the company’s experience supporting the Navy’s fleet readiness.
“Ensuring our nation’s surface ships are modernized and available quickly from maintenance has never been more critical to national defense,” she added.
What Other Navy Work Has Serco Secured?
In June 2025, Serco won a five-year, $105 million recompete contract to continue supporting the Navy’s Amphibious Warfare Program Office with engineering and program management, test and evaluation, ship design management, and integrated logistics support. In April 2025, the company secured a potential $96 million recompete contract to provide technical support to the Navy’s Constellation-class FFG 62 program, covering activities from ship planning and design through construction, delivery and testing.
The company’s U.S. arm landed a potential six-year, $125 million recompete contract in September 2023 to perform combatant ship integration for the Naval Systems Engineering and Logistics Directorate. The work also includes architecture activities involving surface ships, craft, boats and autonomous vehicles, along with related combat, control and sensor systems.
In February 2022, Serco received a potential $21.9 million Navy contract supporting the DDG 51 destroyer ship design, construction, testing and outfitting.
