Serco Secures $105M Recompete Contract for Continuous Support to Navy’s Amphibious Warfare Program Office

The U.S. Navy has awarded Serco a five-year, $105 million recompete contract to continue providing professional and technical services to the Program Executive Office Ships Amphibious Warfare Program Office, or PMS 377.

In a press release published Tuesday, Tom Watson, CEO of Serco and a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, said his company has supported the PMS 377 program since 2011, demonstrating its commitment to “providing innovative solutions that keep our Sailors and Marines safe and maintain their status as the premiere naval force.”

“Serco is proud to continue our long-standing support as a trusted shipbuilding partner for the U.S. Navy,” Watson added. “I salute our team for this win and their extensive naval experience, including over 20 years with the Amphibious Ships Acquisition Program.”

Under the contract, Serco will provide engineering and program management, test and evaluation, ship design management, and integrated logistics support, among other professional and technical services, to help the Navy manage the development, acquisition and support of various amphibious warfare ships and systems.

Work will primarily be performed at the Washington Navy Yard area, with additional support in Mississippi, Louisiana, California and Virginia.

The latest award follows the $162 million contract Serco received in 2019 for continuous delivery of professional support services to the PMS 377 program.
