Ivan Skerl Joins QTS as Chief Digital & Technology Officer

QTS Data Centers has appointed Ivan Skerl as chief digital and technology officer, giving him responsibility for the company’s global technology strategy.

The company announced the hire in a LinkedIn post on Friday. QTS said the appointment comes as it scales to meet customer demand.

What Background Does Ivan Skerl Bring?

Skerl spent two and a half years at Bosch as president of Bosch Digital Americas and chief information officer for Bosch Americas, where he carried profit-and-loss responsibility for a digital business and an organization of more than 1,400 people.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in business and technology transformation. Earlier, he served as vice president and chief digital and information officer at specialty chemicals company Cabot, chief information officer at Veeam Software, and vice president of IT at industrial services firm Brock Group. He spent 16 years at Baker Hughes in strategy, enterprise architecture and operations roles.

Skerl co-founded Conferli, an AI-enabled marketplace platform, and serves on its board. He has sat on Salesforce’s CIO advisory board since 2018.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of St. Thomas in Texas.
