Red River Names Sean Papso, Grant Schneider to Lead Invictus Government Services Unit

  • Red River has tapped Sean Papso as president and chief growth officer of its Invictus government services unit
  • Grant Schneider has joined Invictus as chief operating and programs officer
  • The appointments follow Red River’s December 2025 acquisition of Invictus

Red River has announced two executive appointments for its government services business unit, Invictus: Sean Papso has been named president and chief growth officer, while Grant Schneider has joined the subsidiary as its chief operating and programs officer.

The Chantilly, Virginia-based technology company said Sunday that Papso will oversee Invictus’ growth strategy, customer alignment, program performance and long-term business success across Red River’s government services portfolio. Schneider will lead day-to-day operations, program delivery, profitability and operating discipline for the business.

How Will Sean Papso Lead Invictus?

Papso has been with Invictus since 2018 and has held leadership roles in business development, corporate strategy, operations and growth. Red River said he has helped expand Invictus’ work with defense and intelligence customers while strengthening program delivery and customer engagement.

According to his company profile, Papso helped grow Invictus’ annual revenue from $50 million to more than $250 million over seven years.

Before joining Invictus, Papso held business development and strategy roles at Leidos, Lockheed Martin and Computer Sciences Corp. He previously served as an active-duty aviation officer in the U.S. Navy.

Papso holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master’s degree in business administration from Drexel University. He is also an alumnus of the Advanced Finance Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

What Experience Does Grant Schneider Bring?

Schneider brings government and industry experience spanning cybersecurity, national security technology, enterprise operations and program execution.

He previously served as president and CEO of FGS, a national security services company supporting the Department of War, the intelligence community and other federal customers. His background also includes senior cybersecurity and technology roles at Venable, the White House, the Office of Management and Budget, the Office of Personnel Management and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

As the first federal chief information security officer, Schneider helped shape government-wide cybersecurity priorities and risk management practices across the federal enterprise. He also served as chief information officer at DIA, where he supported global IT operations across more than 140 countries and led enterprise transformation initiatives focused on service delivery, mobility and cost efficiency.

Schneider holds a master’s degree in information systems from American University and a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from George Mason University.

How Does Invictus Fit Into Red River’s Strategy?

Red River acquired Invictus in December 2025 to expand its cyber, intelligence and enterprise modernization capabilities for Department of War, intelligence community and federal civilian customers.

Invictus provides cyber operations, enterprise modernization, intelligence support, secure infrastructure, applied research and development, and emerging technology integration for national security systems. The company also supports highly sensitive and classified environments.

“I am honored to lead Invictus into this next phase as part of Red River,” Papso said. “With Grant joining the leadership team, we are well positioned to deepen customer alignment, strengthen execution and scale our capabilities while preserving the mission focus that defines Invictus.”
