The company said the Mission Awareness Capabilities Ramp-up and Optimization, or MACRO, II contract aligns with its NorthStar 2030 strategy, which includes efforts in digital modernization, mission software development and decision advantage capabilities in support of evolving warfighter requirements.

What Is the Scope of the Army Contract?

Under the MACRO II contract, Leidos will design, develop and integrate secure systems to help warfighters process data and generate operational insights across the electromagnetic spectrum and ground, maritime, air, space and cyber domains.

The company will use AI, advanced networking and modular open architecture to develop systems that support multidomain operations and enable faster, more informed decisions.

“This program is designed to help the joint force turn growing volumes of data into clear, operationally relevant insight, with the goal of enabling warfighters to understand the battlefield and act faster than the enemy,” said Chad Haferbier, senior vice president of decision advantage at Leidos. “We are excited to partner with the Army and joint partners to accelerate how we develop and integrate mission systems for multi-domain operations.”

What Other Army Contracts Has Leidos Won?

Leidos has secured multiple Army contracts supporting equipment, software and air defense efforts.

The company recently received a $617 million contract to provide launchers for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability, or IFPC, Increment 2 system. The award came nearly a year after the Army awarded the company’s subsidiary, Dynetics, a $265 million contract to help the service meet its weapon system requirements for IFPC.

The company booked a $48.8 million contract to provide General Electronic Test Station equipment, including hardware, software, upgrades and spare parts for missile-related systems.

Leidos also won a $191 million contract from Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground for integrated lifecycle software and management platforms.
