MANTECH has appointed retired U.S. Army Gen. Bryan Fenton to its board of directors.
Who Is Bryan Fenton?
Fenton is a Special Forces officer with decades of leadership experience in global military operations, MANTECH said Tuesday. He previously served as the 13th commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, overseeing roughly 70,000 personnel. His prior assignments include leading Joint Special Operations Command, serving as senior military assistant to two secretaries of war and holding the role of deputy commander at U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. He was deployed to multiple regions, including Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa and the Philippines.
MANTECH Board Chairman Kevin Phillips, a six-time Wash100 Award winner, said Fenton brings extensive leadership experience and a strong record of national service.
“As we continue to solve our clients’ most complex mission challenges, his strategic insight and deep understanding of the tactical edge will be instrumental in advancing our commitment to innovation and delivering a decisive advantage to our warfighters,” Phillips added.
What Has Bryan Fenton Done Since Retiring?
After retiring in October 2025, Fenton joined HawkEye 360 as an adviser and took on board roles at USAA and several nonprofit organizations, including Spirit of America, Vigilant Torch, The Honor Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. In his new role at MANTECH, he will apply his experience in global operations and defense strategy to support the company’s national security mission.
“His expertise in leading the world’s most elite forces will be invaluable as we accelerate our delivery of AI and cognitive cyber solutions. His vision perfectly aligns with our focus on always advancing technological superiority at the tactical edge,” said MANTECH CEO and President Matt Tait, a three-time Wash100 awardee.
