In this newly created role, Edward will lead efforts to align strategy, technology and innovation to support the company’s growth initiatives. He will also help expand IDS’ presence in new markets, support strategic acquisitions and ensure the company’s platform continues to deliver capabilities to customers, the software provider said Monday.

What Did IDS CEO Tammer Olibah Say About Edward’s Appointment?

Tammer Olibah, president and CEO of IDS, said the company is experiencing a period of growth and expanding its executive leadership team.

“In the coming years, our ability to execute, build partnerships, develop new capabilities, and innovate on behalf of customers will be crucial, and Sujey brings a proven track record and skillset to help us achieve all of those goals and more,” Olibah said. “We’re not just getting someone to grow the capability at IDS—we’re getting someone who will define the next generation of IDS.”

Who Is Sujey Edward?

Edward brings more than 20 years of experience in organizational transformation, innovation and scaling operations. He most recently served as chief technology officer and senior partner at IBM U.S. Federal, where he established the federal consulting CTO office and worked with government agencies to advance the delivery of artificial intelligence and digital platforms.

He previously served as CTO at Octo, where he led engineering teams and supported the company’s growth during its acquisition.

Edward held technical and leadership positions at several companies, including Salient CRGT, Number Six Software, WeatherBug, Advanced Technology Systems and SAIC.

He currently serves on the advisory board of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business Department of Business Information Technology.
