In this capacity, Coffin will oversee efforts to expand OMNI’s space portfolio and support government customers across national security missions, the company announced in a LinkedIn post published Tuesday. 

According to OMNI, Coffin will leverage his decades of senior leadership experience across missile defense, space operations, space control and national security strategy to help the company drive strategic growth across the space domain.

Who Is Tim Coffin?

According to OMNI, Coffin has managed multibillion-dollar programs and supported the development and deployment of mission-critical capabilities across contested environments. 

His background includes work in space warfighting, strategic planning, satellite communications, test and evaluation and space domain awareness. In addition to operational leadership, he also has experience in business development, organizational transformation and partnerships.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Coffin previously served as a managing director at MITRE, strategic adviser for space domain awareness at Odyssey Systems, and a program manager at Leidos.

During his military career, he held multiple senior leadership roles, including commanding general of the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, deputy commanding general of the Joint Functional Component Command for Space and deputy commanding general for Space and Missile Defense Command.

What Does OMNI Do?

OMNI designs, develops and operates multitenant enterprise applications in support of defense and national security missions. The company offers capabilities spanning artificial intelligence and automation; enterprise cloud and platform solutions; rapid software development; user experience; and digital engineering.

In December, OMNI won a spot on the Missile Defense Agency’s potential 10-year, $151 billion  Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense contract.

In June 2025, the company secured a potential $427 million contract from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency to provide cloud and DevSecOps capabilities for the National Background Investigation Services.
