What Are Daniel Marks’ Responsibilities in His New Ingalls Role?
Marks steps into the role previously held by Stephen Fitts, who transitioned to VP of supply chain management following Scott Weldon’s retirement in December 2025 after a 25-year tenure with the company. At Ingalls, Marks will manage contract administration, cost estimating and pricing, along with export and import licensing and compliance activities. He will report directly to Keith Munn, VP of business management and chief financial officer of the HII division.

Who Is Daniel Marks?
Marks is a seasoned business executive with deep expertise in financial operations, contract strategy and program management, including more than 18 years at Ingalls Shipbuilding.
He most recently served as director of business management for over five years. He was also the business program manager for the LPD 17 Class, financial planning and reporting and tax accounting manager, business manager for business development and financial strategy, and contracts & pricing manager.
Prior to joining HII, Marks served as a senior cost estimating analyst at Northrop Grumman and earlier held management roles at Progressive Insurance. He began his career in public service as an intern with the Office of the Governor of Mississippi.
