InDyne Wins $1.1B Air Force Missile Warning IDIQ

The U.S. Air Force has awarded InDyne a potential $1.1 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to support the service’s missile warning and defense and space domain awareness missions.

What Does the InDyne Contract Cover?

The award covers the provision of all mission-essential non-personal services required to sustain continuous radar operations and maintenance, the Department of War said Tuesday.

Work will take place at six geographically separated locations that support U.S. Space Force and Space Operations Command missions: Cape Cod Space Force Station in Massachusetts, Beale Air Force Base in California, Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station in Colorado, Clear Space Force Station in Alaska, Pituffik Space Base in Greenland and Royal Air Force Fylingdales in the United Kingdom.

The contract was competitively awarded, with two offers received. The Combat Forces Command’s Space Acquisition and Integration Office at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado serves as the contracting activity.

How Has InDyne Supported Military Radars in the Past?

The award builds on InDyne’s previous work supporting missile warning and space surveillance systems. In 2023, the company secured a $63 million contract from the U.S. Space Force to operate and maintain the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System at Cavalier Space Force Station in North Dakota, a radar critical to detecting sea-based and intercontinental ballistic missiles launched toward North America. The radar also supplies space monitoring data to the Space Surveillance Network.
