Ursa Major Closes $100M Series E Funding Round

Ursa Major, an aerospace and defense company, has secured $100 million in a round of Series E financing along with $50 million in debt commitments to scale manufacturing across its product lines.

Eclipse led the funding round along with Woodline Partners, Principia Growth, XN, Alsop Louie Partners and other institutional shareholders, Ursa Major said Tuesday.

“Our investors recognize our milestones this year – flying hypersonic several times, advancing our solid rocket motor programs, completing tests for space propulsion systems, and securing a record booking portfolio – are just the start of this next chapter for our company,” said Dan Jablonsky, CEO of Ursa Major. “This investment gives us the tools to solve critical strategic industrial base and national security challenges for the United States and our allies,” added the two-time Wash100 Award winner.

How Will the Funding Support Ursa Major’s Manufacturing Goals?

The new funding will be utilized to meet growing demands in the U.S. industrial base for modern approaches that outperform legacy providers. The investment will accelerate the fielding of Ursa Major’s throttleable liquid-fueled hypersonic and space defense technology, as well as rapidly scale manufacturing for solid rocket motors and sustained space mobility systems.

What Partnerships Contributed to Ursa Major’s $115M Bookings?

The investment follows a period of significant growth, with the company announcing over $115 million in bookings through the first three quarters of 2025. This total reflects both government and commercial partnerships, including deals with the Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, Stratolaunch and BAE Systems.
