Air Force Issues Solicitation for Potential $400M Construction Contract for Morón Air Base

The Department of the Air Force has released a request for proposals for a multiple award construction contract, or MACC, for Morón Air Base in Spain.

Air Force’s Multiple Award Construction Contract Scope

According to the solicitation notice published Monday on SAM.gov, the competitive indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has an estimated aggregate maximum value of $400 million in euro equivalent. Each awarded contract guarantees a minimum payment of $500, also in euro equivalent, payable after attending the required post-award conference and submitting a Quality Control Plan and Safety Plan.

The MACC includes a five-year base ordering period with a five-year option, for a total potential 10-year ordering period. It will cover a range of repair and construction projects to be defined under individual task orders.

Under the Spain-U.S. Defense and Cooperation Agreement, only companies authorized under Spanish law may receive contracts under this solicitation. Firms must meet Spanish legal requirements and use local materials, labor and equipment when feasible.

Interested vendors can submit their proposals until Dec. 10.
