The Air Force Materiel Command is seeking industry partners to design, develop, manufacture and sustain munitions material handling equipment, or MMHE, under a potential $920 million contract vehicle.
According to a request for information posted Friday on SAM.gov, the service plans to award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts through the Next Generation Ammunition and Munitions Equipment, or NGAME, program.
Air Force’s NGAME Program
The initiative aims to strengthen the industrial vendor base for MMHE, which is critical for safely loading and transporting nuclear and conventional munitions. Equipment includes loading systems, small and large trailers and jammer families.
Vendors would be required to integrate new hardware and software into existing MMHE and provide digital engineering, model-based system design and full technical data packages. Contractors may also conduct developmental, qualification and operational testing, along with production acceptance evaluations.
All equipment must pass the Air Force’s Nuclear Certification Program under AFI 63-125.
Contract Details
The NGAME multiple-award IDIQ contract includes on-ramp and off-ramp provisions, which would enable vendors to be added or removed throughout the program duration, and a performance period of up to 10 years. Interested companies have until Oct. 14 to submit capability statements.
